Hi!! It's Andrea Plymale

I'm Andrea, born in Guatemala, raised in Oregon, and shaped by the space between both.

Being adopted taught me early on that identity is complex, that belonging matters, and that representation in storytelling isn't just nice to have—it's essential. Those lessons are why I studied Advertising and Latinx Studies at the University of Oregon, and why I'm drawn to communications work that centers community voices.

Over the past few years, I've managed social media campaigns, coordinated events for multicultural student organizations, facilitated brand partnerships for student-athletes, and served as a multicultural recruiter helping families envision their students thriving at UO. Through it all, I've learned that the best communications work starts with listening—really listening—to the communities you're trying to reach.

I create content that feels authentic because I understand what it's like to navigate multiple worlds. I design with intention because I know how much it matters to see yourself reflected in a brand. And I advocate fiercely for inclusive storytelling because I've experienced firsthand what happens when your story isn't told.

Beyond work, I'm constantly creating—whether that's cooking, painting, or transforming spaces through interior design. I'm passionate about helping mission-driven organizations and small businesses connect with diverse audiences in ways that feel genuine, not performative.
